Coach a team. Make an impact.
Help players learn the game, build character, and enjoy a positive team experience.
GRIT Flag coaches play a key role in creating a fun, safe, and encouraging environment for every athlete. Whether you have years of coaching experience or you’re stepping onto the sideline for the first time, we’ll provide the structure, rules, and resources you need to lead with confidence.
New to coaching? You're welcome here.
You don't need to be a football expert to make a difference. If you're willing to learn, communicate well, and encourage your athletes, you can be a great fit. GRIT provides resources to help coaches understand the rules, organize practices, and prepare for game day.
What to expect
- Coaches complete the coach application, and may be asked for references, a background screening through a third-party provider, and safety training (including concussion awareness).
- Teams practice at least one weeknight a week (Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday evenings) plus a warm-up block before Saturday games.
- Coaches run their team in the GRIT app: practices, attendance, team messages, and game-day updates.
- Every coach follows the 5v5 rules and the Code of Conduct.
